Flash Art magazine

Founded by Helena Kontová, Juraj Čarný and Lydia Pribišová in 2006, FLASH ART Czech & Slovak Edition has long been the most prominent periodical on contemporary visual art in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is published with the support of the Fund for the Promotion of Art of the Slovak Republic, which is the main partner of the magazine, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the State Culture Fund of the Czech Republic, and the Italian publisher Flash Art srl. The magazine is published in Czech and Slovak as a quarterly. The Czech and Slovak editions of FLASH ART deal with current trends and personalities in contemporary art. The translation section introduces the reader to what is happening on the international scene, while the Czech and Slovak articles focus on local artists. The issues contain a thematic line, which is complemented by permanent columns.
