Krásná jizba, a branch of the publishing house Družstevní práce, was the most important institution engaged in the sale, production and promotion of home furnishings and education in the field of housing culture in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s and 1940s. Its ambition was to provide the widest possible range of customers with aesthetically valuable and high-quality products designed by leading designers, and thus to cultivate an environment for everyday life.
