Jiří Krejčiřík is a multidisciplinary designer based in Prague. His practice encompasses a wide range of disciplines and methods - he overcomes the barriers between art and design, from product design to furniture, lighting, glass, interior and spatial design. Whether he is designing for a client or developing his own projects or gallery objects, he always pays the same meticulous attention to context, process and detail. As a result, his entire portfolio is characterised by a coherent visual language that blends historical and cultural perspectives with contemporary optics - with an unexpected edge. Drawing on the tradition of artisanal production, each product is handmade locally, in the Czech Republic, produced in limited editions and exhibited only in carefully selected galleries and design showrooms in Europe and the USA.
