Toy Rooster red

The carved rooster clearly reflects Baruch's wide range of artistic imagination, which led him to create small decorative objects and toys. Folk toys and motifs became an important inspiration. They combined geometric carved ornament or bright polychromy with small-scale decoration. All of this was the Czechoslovakian answer to the fashion for polychrome rusticated artefacts of the international art deco movement in the 1920s.
